The people who build it.

Open Beta builds trustworthy data systems for banks, insurers, public institutions and infrastructure operators. Working systems, not workshops. Behind it: Matthias Sammer and Martin Wieser – two senior engineers.

    The Team

    Matthias Sammer

    Matthias Sammer

    Data & AI Consultant

Matthias builds AI and data systems where the hard part is rarely the technology – it's the translation: between strategy and system, between regulation and operations, between the business model and what the system actually does.

His track record spans domains that rarely meet in one person: TLTRO-III risk reporting for an Austrian bank, satellite-based climate intelligence for public authorities at GeoVille – where he also led new products and business models in the earth-observation market as Business Innovation Manager – an award-winning forest-traceability concept (Galileo & Copernicus Masters), and the AI data layer behind LuLarge. At Beetle ForTech he carried co-founder, CTO and CFO in one hand.

Academically he joins three fields that usually stay apart: a doctorate in economics (Innsbruck), a master's in data science (FH Kufstein) and a master's in behavioural science (Stirling).

    What this means for you

Matthias builds with your team, not for it. He knows regulated industries, messy data, and the difference between a demo and a system that holds up in an audit – the right partner where strategy, compliance and operational readiness have to be solved together.

    Full spectrum

from the business-model question through regulatory detail to the data pipeline in production – with academic depth and a hand on the code.

    Martin Wieser

    Martin Wieser

    Data & AI Consultant

Martin brings three decades of engineering depth and tech leadership at board level. As CTO of an enterprise platform for international travel management since 2009, he knows the reality of long-lived systems: legacy integration, stakeholder alignment, incomplete data, tight resources – and solutions that still hold up in operation.

Four founding ventures over two decades – Nextmobile, Pseekoo AI, LuLarge and his stake in Open Beta – give him an entrepreneur's perspective, not just a developer's. His range runs from platform architecture and data pipelines through applied AI – computer vision, NLP, anomaly detection – to mobile, with current hands-on AI capability, not only architectural experience.

He studied computer science and psychology at the University of Innsbruck – the combination is why he's as much at home in debugging as in a board-level conversation.

    What this means for you

Martin takes over where a prototype stands or a solution has to enter operation, and brings it into stable production under real constraints. He knows the difference between a dashboard and a workflow your team actually uses.

    Full spectrum

thirty years from code to tech-strategy – with current AI capability, not only architectural experience.

We work as two senior engineers, close to the code. The people who scope the work are the people who build it.
